Visiting Molodechno

Today I am leaving Ostrovets. I slept at 1 am and woke up at 9.

I messaged Sasha and I said, "Здравствуйте, у вас сейчас есть время? Я скоро уезжаю в Молодечно." She didn't reply.

I went to Sberbank, but I can't exchange Yuan here. Anyway, everything is fine and I am going to Molodechno.

До свидания, Островец!

I arrived at Gudogai 50 minutes before the electrichka schedule. There were only 3 people including me on the bus. Gudogai is small and there is Евроопт супермаркет, школа, стадион, дом культуры, ФАП, гостиницы, another grocery store, that's it. I bought 1,5 л воды, 2 порции сока, 1 400 г йогурта, хлеб, and камбала обжаренные. Камбала обжаренные was terrible and I ended up throwing it away.

A woman greeted me and told me she is a Koryo-saram. She asked if I was traveling. She lives in the middle east now and we spoke in English. I said I planned to stay here for two days and I want to go to the villages. She said she was selling her house, and I am welcome to stay there, and there is a bus from Minsk to the house, though the house is empty. I was looking for hotels, and she said you need to confirm there is a place there. She said the hotel prices are higher on Saturdays. She is a very kind person. There is an elder man without shoes asking for money. She said the man is just drunk, and the man left. She said she just left hotel "Молодечно". Suddenly it started to rain so I took my umbrella and held it over. She called the hotels through my WhatsApp said the hotels are mostly full, and she gave me her Telegram. Then finally the hotel Молодечно has a place and she said it cost 93 Rubles

The streets are so nice, and there are a lot of young people walking.

I returned to the hotel and they had "мест нет" on the door. I always thought hotels are mostly empty.

There are a lot of villages around here. I want to stay in the villages for a few days later.

I slept for around 3 hours and woke up at 10:30. I missed the free breakfast.

I bruised my leg, but everything is fine.

I tried to find a village near this region on Kufar. A lot of these are for weddings or group events. I found one near Polotsk for around Aug 7th, but it's very difficult to travel to that area.

I asked the hotel staff if there are excursions. The staff Tatiana said no, there's just the city center and the park. I said I wanted to go to the villages. She told me I could get there by taxi, but didn't say anything else and just shrugged.

I went to the эконом Сити clothing store, and I asked which trouser size would fit me? She said the size is marked on each item. I asked, "Какой рост или вес для каждого размера?" She said, "мы этого здесь не пишем."

alt text

alt text

The size is confusing. Belarussians are tall, so I probably need to choose a small size. But I ran into the "small butt" problem again - the backside of the pants are too small.

400g pizza, 10 Rubles.

I went to the mall. There are many pants here. There are 2 size: 182/188 и 170/176. I found a nice pair of pants for 50 Rubles.

I decided to go to the village of Malinniki tomorrow, and then to the village of Yanushkovichi. I am using Kufar.

I got a house in the village of Malinniki. So you pay 45 now, and pay 45 there. However, none of my cards work on Kufar. I contacted Sergey, owner of the house, and he asked me to transfer 45 Rubles to his card. I sent him the money through the Mir payment. Kufar canceled my booking because I didn't pay on the platform. But Sergey said it's fine, and tomorrow I am going to the village. Sergey said, "Бронь я повторил от своего имени. Все ок." Then I said I would be coming at 13:30, and Sergey replied, "Ждём."

I saw Alexander had 8 rooms available and it's in the village of Yanushkovichi. Alexander sent me a picture of his card and I transferred half the amount. Alexander replied, "Ждём вас в гости. Приезжайте. Спасибо. Всё правильно. Заезд 5.08 после 14.00. Выезд 6.08 до 12.00."

There is still a risk for going into the villages. But we are young. We aren't afraid of anything here.

I went out to walk. Here is the Victory Park.

I was walking down the street near the church, and three girls talked to me. We talked only in Russian. I said I am Дима. We exchanged Telegram, Алина, Ксения, Верослава. I said I was 20 and they said I looked 16. They asked me if I like Molodechno. I said, "конечно, красивый город." I asked for "достопримечательности", and they showed me something on Yandex maps 4 km away, so I am not going there. They said they thought Gaokao is hard and asked what score I got? I said 343, but I only took 3 subjects and I was in USTC's gifted young program. I said I like watching STS and Yandex. They said Vlad A4 is popular and they only watch TikTok. I had a pixel and they said it's really cool. They showed me an anime character and asked me if I like anime. I said no, and they are disappointed. Alina said she was planning to study in Grodno. I said, молодец. Ksenia had a mirror and a lot of makeup. They asked me if it is scary to travel alone? I said no. Then they asked me how to say hello and goodbye in Chinese, and we said goodbye.

I ruined my shoes when I was walking in the park. I returned to the hotel and washed it.

Some fries and chicken. 13 Rubles.

I crossed the railway to the other side, and it is much quieter here.

I went to a bar. There are only 8 people here, including a pregnant woman, a man, and another woman, and it's very quiet. I had some fruit and bread.
