Why I am hitting a wall in Russian grammar? I couldn't learn grammar before I spelled correctly. And how do I get the spelling right when there are so many grammar forms?

• I first learned some basic grammar. I had terrible spelling, I couldn't spell "throw", "through", "threw" correctly back then. Let's call it an A1-A2 state. My vocabulary was also terrible and I had to rely on dictionary.
• Then I read massively. I read hundreds of children's and YA books (Magic Tree House, Junie B, BSC, Roald Dahl, Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, Twilight, Narnia, etc), I read from easy books to long, adult level books. Naturally as my reading speed grew drastically, my vocabulary grew massively and my spellings are suddenly 99% fine, or to a near-native level. I can write a lot, though there are still some grammar mistakes.
• Then as I write more and read more, these grammar mistakes mostly disappeared and I can write decently now.

But in Russian, I am stuck in a cycle and hitting a brick wall that I cannot pass. My vocabulary grows already (8000-10000 or more), I can write, but my writings are gibberish. I cannot even spell words correctly. I don't care about C1 or B2 or whatever because I am learning for myself. Right now I can literally watch YouTube at 1.5x and read Dzen easily at a relatively fast speed and understand everything because I just ignored the endings. But I've been kind of stuck in this state for quite a while. It's Russian's problem, not my problem. I can write very fast and write a lot, but at this stage when I was learning English, my writing was far better and mostly correct already. Most of the time when I was speaking, I didn't make many mistakes somehow. I could literally pass for nearly all daily conversations without problems but when I write, everything falls apart. Here's the deal, Russian roots rarely change as much as English in hideous ways. (Think, thought. Throw, threw. Good, well. Explain, explanation. Ideal, ideology. Lie, lay, etc, etc). Only a few words change (день, дня, писать, пишу). When I learned English, I just forgot about the roots and memorized each words as it is, and there were just 2-3 variants. Anyway, I cannot do this for Russian, I should stop assuming the roots are changing all the time.

My brain physically fights me to use different versions of the words in different cases. It does not feel natural for me. Every time I do this, it feels very artificial and not the default flow state, so I fight myself to use the original case or a random case, and I hate to go back and edit words, even if I know what I should use.
